A Day at the Zoo!

I took the kids to the zoo this week because I coupons to get all of us in FREE!  How cool is that!?  So we woke up early and headed out.  It was kind of weird not being able to walk in and know exactly where every animal was like I could at the Phoenix Zoo.  I didnt like that I kept getting turned around, or how I couldnt figure out how to get out of the seal exhibit...The  Luckily it was really fun to make up for all of that! :) 

Can you tell that Logan wasnt very excited to be here?  I am trying to make this summer fun for my kids, and I think this may have been a bust for Logan. When we were driving there, I got a little turned around and couldnt find the parking lot.  He turned to me and said, "If you cant find the zoo, it will be ok if we just have to go home."  Nice. When did he grow up so much that the zoo wasn't fun anymore? 

 Amaia has started pointing at things and jabbering..that is what she is doing here.. :)

 This was the sea lion, seal exhibit.  It had a spot underground that you could look in under the water and see them swimming. It was really cool!

 Logan looking bored,  again.  At least he was really helpful with the stroller!

 This tiger paced back and forth when it wasnt looking in the window.  There was another one that was scratching its nails on a tree.  It was fun to see them in motion!

 Not a great picture, but the kangaroos were really fun to see.  I even got a video of one jumping around!

All in all it was a really fun day!  We only lasted a few hours, so I guess it was good it was free!  That way I didnt feel bad that we didnt spend the entire day there!
