Logans Birthday....

Logan turned 7 yesterday, and as he put it " it was the best birthday ever!" The day started out crazy since I had to go to the store, bake 2 cakes, and get us all ready to be out the door by 11. I had to stop by the bank before heading out to Peter Piper Pizza. My kids were as friendly as they always are and were talking to a nice old lady in the line. They told her we were going to PPP and that it was Logan's birthday. We headed over to PPP and about 15 minutes later, that same nice lady from the bank came in and found me. I thought maybe I dropped something in line, and she was returning it. Nope. She brought Logan $5 for his birthday. How nice is that? You don't meet people like that very often, and I was so touched. Logan got everything he could have wanted. Video game system with awesome games, a TON of silly bands( apparently they are the new thing..everyone has them and he has been begging me for weeks) and money. The kids had a blast of course. You cant go wrong with Peter Piper. We went home for a few hours before we went to meet Mom and Dave for dinner and more cake! We went to Pei Wei's ( my favorite! Thank goodness Logan picked chinese for dinner!) and Logan got more birthday money. He has saved up $45 which is good for him, but bad for me. Logan has saving for a motor scooter forever, and Zach told him if he saved up half of the money we would pay the rest. Apparently we will be paying sooner than I thought. Anyway, besides the going to Walmart 3 different times it was a fabulous day. Thanks everyone for coming and making the day so special for Logan!

Jocy....

All 3 of my kids were binki babies. They used them until they were about 2 years old. It is always hard to take them away, but once they were gone...they were gone. Jocy has been another story altogether. She was a thumb sucker when she was born, which I was totally against. I bought every kind of binki the stores had, trying to break her from the thumb sucking. I finally found an ugly looking butterfly binki that she would actually take. when she was about 18 months, we noticed that the binki was messing up her teeth. When she would bite down, only her molars would touch, and there was a big gap between her top and bottom teeth. The dentist said it was caused by the binki, so away it went at 18 months instead of 2 years. Apparently, she still wants to have a binki.......I caught her hiding in the corner behind the tree...with a binki in her mouth.

She realized she was caught...but is playing the "I'm Cute" card.

I took the binki away...

She was mad at me...

So, why do I still have binkis around my house for her to find and cry about? who knows!

September.....

Yes, I know...I'm a horrible blogger. And you're not going to get much out of me withe this post either! I have slacked a little with my picture taking, but I have a few from the past month I thought I would post.

Logan just moved to a yellow belt in Karate. He did a great job. He has a graduation every two months, so he should be a black belt in no time! One of Railynn's many faces...

We took the kids to Peter Piper Pizza a few weeks ago and it was actually really fun. The pizza was surprizingly good and the breadsticks were even better. I usually have a hard time at these kinds of places, but not this time! Zach and I even played Deal or No Deal. ( We used a lot of the kids tokens to play, but it was fun! Shhh....)

I know Logan has a face full of pizza...Most parents would pass on putting a picture like this on their blog, but I thought it was funny! Logan gets really embarrased about this sort of thing, so I have to be sneaky when taking pictures.

Logan teaching Stormie how to play video games on the Playstation...

Logan thought it would be a good idea to play with his dads razor in the shower. He refused to let me shave his head to fix it, ( It was quite the battle actually) Like I said, he gets embarrased really easily. He was afraid If I shaved it all off he would get made fun of at school. So why did he think that trying to cut his own hair would be a good idea? Your guess is as good as mine!
Every once in a while we have a night where Jocy hates going to bed with out her dad. Her dad is a push over and gets her out of bed, so she thinks she can get away with it all the time.

I had some fun videos of the kids, but they wouldnt upload. Maybe next time!

Happy Birthday Jocy!

Jocy turned 2 years old on friday. She started the day off with the daddy breakfast tradition. Technically it was always a tradition that Zach wanted to do, but I always ruined because I thought I should be able to go. Rude I know. So....you will all be happy to know that it is officially an official tradition! haha! Jocy and Zach went to burger king. woohoo! What a birthday celebration that must have been! Kids are so easily pleased. :)

I have been watching cake design shows on TV lately, so I decided to try to make a barbie cake. I carved it and everything. I had a bit of a mishap with the frostin in the back, but luckily Melissa was there to fix it for me! Here is the before picture...

After....

Happy birthday Jocy!!!

First day of First grade!

I cant believe how time flies. My little boy started first grade last week. We went to meet the teacher night on monday, and Logan was less than thrilled about his teacher. His closest friend wasnt in his class which didnt help the situation. We went into the classroom and Logan already had tears in his eyes. Thank goodness for his tender heart...I told him he was going to hurt his teachers feeling if she saw him crying. He immediately calmed himself, and we met his teacher with no problems. he even acted happy when he spoke with his teacher. He hasn't had a problem with it since. I love my boy. I think we have started off the year pretty well!

Taekwondo!

We put Logan in Taekwondo a few months ago and he loves it! I was a afraid at first of the concept, because Logan is a boy who really likes to throw, punch, kick, fight as it is. After looking into it, it is much more than that. Logan is learning respect, how to listen, how to protect himself, and courtesy. They had a graduation a few weeks ago and Logan did awesome. They went up in a group of 5 and had to do all of their forms for Master Lee in order to graduate to a higher belt color. Logan moved to an orange belt and was picked to move up to a higher group because of his leadership. I am so proud. It has been really good for him. Now to get Rai into dance classes......

Poor puppies....

I am a sucker for all things small...but Zach is even more than I am sometimes. Our friend found some stray puppies out here in buckeye. There were about 7-10 of them and they were starving to death. Well, we couldnt just leave them. Our family headed out a few sundays ago to save a couple of them. I felt so bad. We took the smallest of the bunch of them since they were the least likely to fend for themselves. They had ticks on them, and were very malnourished. We had them for a few weeks, and took care of them until we were sure they would be ok. We had some people come and pick them up today. I hope they will be happy puppies.
