Hotel Transylvania - Mavis' 118th Birthday Bash!

Get ready for picture overload!  so, you know how I am always telling you about the fun Crowdtap parties I always get to have?  Well, you missed out again!  You would think all my AZ family and friends would have learned by now how fun these parties are, so I should be able to talk you guys into coming to NM for once. haha  For now though, I guess you will just have to make due with the million pictures I took...
This party was to get us all ready to see the movie Hotel Transylvania.  Logan got to go see it with his dad for his birthday, but the girls and I missed out and I can't wait to be able to see it!
We decorated for Mavis' ( character from the movie) birthday bash by using a lot of halloween supplies.  The kids decorated cupcakes to look like mini monsters, we had mini pumpkins for them to decorate, we had fun coloring pages and masks, dirt n worms to eat, green juice in monster cups, Hotel transylvania computer games and so much more!  Do you wish you would have come yet?  Because you will after you see the pictures! haha

cupcake decorating stuff...icing, mms in spider cups, sprinkles...the works. :)
Dirt n worms...How fun is that?  It was chocolate pudding with crushed oreos on top and gummy worms squished into it.  I'm not gonna lie...It is one of my favorite desserts. :)
We gave the kids coloring pages with all the different characters, so they could pick their favorite. :)
Look how cute our table decor turned out?  I got the cute cupcake stand at the dollar store.  I was pretty impressed with myself. lol  We used the left over spider webbing to put across the table, and then put spider and bat rings all through it for the kids.  Who knew I could be so creative?

Rai eating her dirt n worms...

The dirt n worms wasnt just for the kids...Even the moms liked the worms... haha

Jocy putting on a bat ring to match her spooky bat shirt.  We like to go all out with our parties. :)
We played the guess that body part game...gross I know.  But the kids loved it.  We put different foods in covered bowls and then made the kids stick their hands in it.  We told them it was brains or eyeballs...etc.  It might seem gross, but none of the kids fell for it. lol
We peeled off the skin on a tomato for the heart.
we peeled the skin off the grapes for eyeballs.
                                                                   Chunky salsa...
The kids feeling the "body parts"
                                                                  decorating cupcakes...

Look how cute the monster cupcakes turned out?  We used dumdum suckers with peach gummy rings around them for the eyes.

Amaia didnt get to decorate, but she sure enjoyed her sucker. :)

The monster juice for the kids to drink...and lets be honest...for the adults too. :)

 Rai's mask.
All in all it was a really fun party and we cant wait to see the movie!  I wish you all could have been here to party with us...Next time I mention crowdtap, just make sure you plan ahead on your schedule so you can be here!  Love you guys!

Balloon Fiesta!

Don't you all wish you would have come to visit me during the Balloon Fiesta?  Look how fun it is!  My kids have seen the occasional balloon fly over our house, but nothing like this!  They land practically anywhere they want to and there are so many of them, it is almost overwhelming.  We took the kids to the park for the balloon glow one night last week....we parked, paid 8 dollars and walked right back to the car 10 minutes later.  The event was cancelled due to the crazy wind we get in Albuquerque...and get this...they wouldn't give us our money back!  lame.  At least, we only lost $8.  My friend paid for parking, paid in advance for the event,  and didnt get a refund for either.  so sad.  At least I got a few good glimpses of the balloons!

Its a Zebra balloon...can you see it?

                                                                Zebra balloon again...

Happy Birthday to my LOGAN!

Logan turned 9!  Logan has always wanted a big fun birthday party with friends, and I always told him he had to wait until he turned 8 to have a birthday party.  Last year, he finally turned 8 and we had just decided to move to New Mexico, so to his disappointment, he had to miss out on a birthday party once again.....luckily, we live in such a great place and he has so many great friends, that his long awaited party turned out perfect!    We went to a park and they played football with the dads almost the whole time.  Which was great for me because I got to sit and relax with a table full of treats! :)

                                                               the football game...
Logan, Gabriel ( one of his best friends) and Ronan

I am so grateful for a son, that has such a sweet spirit about him.  That always tries to choose the right, and that is such a great example to me.  He is smart ( what kid likes to pull out college algebra text books and right all the elements and their abbreviations?  Thats right...Logan does.  True story. haha), and funny, and I am so happy to have him as a part of my family!  Happy birthday Logan!

Old Navy Cardi Party!

Ok family....you should be really jealous.  I keep trying to get you all to come and visit me in New Mexico and you have officially missed out!  I have told you all about Crowdtap and the awesome opportunities it gives to try new things for free....well, I had the opportunity to be a part of Old Navy's cardi party!  What is a cardi party you might ask?  I got to take 3 of my friends ( could have been family...just sayin.) to Old navy for a free cardian of their choice!  But it didnt stop there....we all got a free skirt and scarf too!  Do I sound like a game show host yet?  haha.  It was soooo much fun! We all decided to leave our kids at home and make an afternoon of it.  I ended up bringing Logan though because he seemed to think that he would have more fun waiting while a bunch of girls tried on new clothes, than he would have had watching a movie during quiet time. So, I brought him along, and it was great because then I had someone to take pictures of us in our cute new outfits. :)  He actually  had a lot of fun too because they had a basketball hoop station and bean bag toss, so he kept himself pretty busy.  The staff even played with him.  How fun is that? All in all it was so much fun and we all got some super cute outfits!  Old Navy has the CUTEST pencil skirts right now, they are longer than I would have thought they were, and they were really flattering on.  I ended up getting a super cute chevron skirt that I have had my eye on, a purple floral scarf and purple cardigan.  I know you are all surprised that I went with purple lol.....I couldnt help myself!  After our shopping spree, we went out to eat at Johnny Rockets.  One of my friends paid for all of us to have lunch, which I thought was really nice.

Dont I have cute friends?  This is Camille, her husband is in Med school right now, so you can imagine Zach and her husband have a lot to talk about.  She is always so nice and makes super good brownies.  you know I have to be her friend just for that. :)
This is Miriam.  She is the one that is going to start having me watch her little girl starting in a few weeks.  She used to live in AZ, even knows one of my high school friends.  Small world isnt it?

Here is Logan at the basketball hoop station in Old Navy.

I really liked the yellow cardigan, but I had to go with the purple!  and see that purple scarf?  Thats the one I decided to get! cute huh!?

Miriam shopping for the perfect shoes. :)
Kelly had a last minute work problem so I had to take her on a seperate day.  that is why she isnt in any of the pictures with the rest of us girls.  Isnt she cute though?  I loved her scarf.
This pencil skirt was adorable.  I really want to go back and get it!
Kelly is really excited about her free stuff...can you tell?
We had sooooo much stuff in our bags that we wanted to buy.  It was a little rediculous.... :)
Miriam refused to wear her skirt in the pictures because she hadnt shaved....haha

We decided to model with the mannequins...Can you tell where we are? lol  I thought we fit right in.....

Video of Logan modeling my scarf....He thought he was pretty funny...

Don't mind the million pictures, I just wanted you all to see all the cute things we got so you would maybe think twice when you say no next time I want you to come and visit. :) As Old Navy's FAB-CAB-U-LARY says...we had a Shoptacular time!  I miss you guys and I wish you could have come!

Date with mom....

Rai has been doing really well in school so far this year.  She has been writing in a journal everyday, and then on wednesdays she has to get up in front of her class and read what she has written.  She was really nervous last week, but she got up ( without crying I might add...I was quite impressed) and read to her class.  Rai is always convinces that kids are going to laugh at her for one reason or another, so I was very proud of her accomplishment.  She was so happy with herself.  I took her on a mom and daughter date to reward her for being so awesome. :)  We went to Krispy Kreme, and because she is Rai, she wanted to make sure and bring home a doughnut for everyone.  Did she want to sit at Krispy Kreme and spend time with mom?  Nope.  She wanted to take the doughnuts home so we could eat them together.  She is such a sweet girl and I am so proud of her. :)
