Happy Birthday Jocy!

Jocy turned 2 years old on friday. She started the day off with the daddy breakfast tradition. Technically it was always a tradition that Zach wanted to do, but I always ruined because I thought I should be able to go. Rude I know. So....you will all be happy to know that it is officially an official tradition! haha! Jocy and Zach went to burger king. woohoo! What a birthday celebration that must have been! Kids are so easily pleased. :)

I have been watching cake design shows on TV lately, so I decided to try to make a barbie cake. I carved it and everything. I had a bit of a mishap with the frostin in the back, but luckily Melissa was there to fix it for me! Here is the before picture...

After....

Happy birthday Jocy!!!

First day of First grade!

I cant believe how time flies. My little boy started first grade last week. We went to meet the teacher night on monday, and Logan was less than thrilled about his teacher. His closest friend wasnt in his class which didnt help the situation. We went into the classroom and Logan already had tears in his eyes. Thank goodness for his tender heart...I told him he was going to hurt his teachers feeling if she saw him crying. He immediately calmed himself, and we met his teacher with no problems. he even acted happy when he spoke with his teacher. He hasn't had a problem with it since. I love my boy. I think we have started off the year pretty well!

Taekwondo!

We put Logan in Taekwondo a few months ago and he loves it! I was a afraid at first of the concept, because Logan is a boy who really likes to throw, punch, kick, fight as it is. After looking into it, it is much more than that. Logan is learning respect, how to listen, how to protect himself, and courtesy. They had a graduation a few weeks ago and Logan did awesome. They went up in a group of 5 and had to do all of their forms for Master Lee in order to graduate to a higher belt color. Logan moved to an orange belt and was picked to move up to a higher group because of his leadership. I am so proud. It has been really good for him. Now to get Rai into dance classes......

Poor puppies....

I am a sucker for all things small...but Zach is even more than I am sometimes. Our friend found some stray puppies out here in buckeye. There were about 7-10 of them and they were starving to death. Well, we couldnt just leave them. Our family headed out a few sundays ago to save a couple of them. I felt so bad. We took the smallest of the bunch of them since they were the least likely to fend for themselves. They had ticks on them, and were very malnourished. We had them for a few weeks, and took care of them until we were sure they would be ok. We had some people come and pick them up today. I hope they will be happy puppies.

BEST VACATION EVER!!

I just had the best vacation ever. As some of you may know from all of my bragging....Zach let me go to Vegas while he stayed home with the kids. Thats right...you heard right...NO KIDS!!! Woo HOO! My parents were going because my niece had a dance competition, so they let me tag along. It was soooo much fun. I don't get to go to many of her competitions, so I was very excited to finally see them in action. We watched dances, ate good food, floated in the lazy river...(I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard). We even talked my mom into getting in! It was a short 3 day trip, but I loved every minute of it. Let me just say, I have the best parents in the world, and the greatest husband I could ever ask for! I love them!

My cute niece and Char Bar right after her solo performance.

Dinner with the family...It's the action shot. FYI - Best Mexican food ever. Not that it does you any good since I can't remember the name of the restaurant!

Catching up...

Just a few pics of the Cresap Happenings the past few weeks...

I have the best husband ever. Let me just start by saying that Zach never buys me flowers. Ever. We have been married for almost 9 years and he has bought me a single rose maybe 2 times. But, times have changed! He surprised me with these pretty roses AND he even had them delivered as a suprise. Its amazing how the little things can make you so happy. I love my husband.

Since summer is finally here, I decided it was finally time to find some things for my kids to do so they wouldnt be so bored aroung the house. I bought a kiddie pool on sale at Fry's and the kids LOVE it!

Logan started Karate this week. I am excited to see the impact it will have on him.

Rai and Jocy get into my make-up a lot....I should probably find a better place for it....

Camping....

Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a super adventurous type of person. That being said, you should all be very proud of me for going on a camping adventure with my family....even if it will be the last time I go camping for a very very long time.

Zach had been talking about taking the kids camping for quite some time, so when school was finally out for Logan he couldnt wait. I didnt really want to go...( as much as I hate to admit it, I am a bit of a girly girl...) but I decided that it would be fun to go as a family. We went to a campsite that Zach went to as a child. It was really pretty, with a little river running by it. When we got out of the car, Jocy immediately started crying/whining. That continued until we were able to get the campsite set up and headed out to go fishing. We only had 2 poles, so the girls and I got pretty bored. Well, I guess I got pretty bored unhooking Logans fishing hook from the bush, the branch in the water, my shirt, etc. all while making sure the girls didnt fall into the water. I decided to snatch up the fishing pole, but while walking to the water I tripped, fell backwards, and landed smack on a rock. I bruised my back up....but that just adds to the fun right??

We hiked around, roasted hotdogs, ate smores, and dug around in the dirt. When it was time to go to bed, Railynn started freaking out because of the bats she was sure were going to fly into the tent through a little hole, and becuase of the "snowbears". Jocy wont go to bed unless she is in her crib. Logan didnt want to go to bed...after all, we were on a camping adventure and he thought it was only right that he get to stay up. The kids finally all fell asleep around 10ish. They all had their own sleeping bags, but within 2 hours, they were sleeping with us. Which would be fine, but It was FREEZING cold and I was kicked out of my spot and ended up sleeping on the tarp with hardly any sleeping bag. To make matters worse, I had a big bruise on my back from the fall on the rock, so it was not a comfortable sleep. We finally all woke up about 5:30, packed up and headed away from the cold and into the heat. I think next time I will just let Logan and Zach go camping. I will stay home with the girls. I know...I am a big baby.
