My kids vs. the MUD

We were home all day yesterday, bored of course, so when my kids went out to play in the mud...I let them. Granted, I didn't know that is what they were doing at the time. Once I realized what they were doing, the damage was already done. But...there was no anger on my part, even though they know they are NOT supposed to play in the mud. Some days you have to pick your battles. My kids had a lot of fun. I guess sometimes I need to remember to let my kids be kids!

The end result of Rai and Logan...regardless of what you might think, Logan did not roll around in the mud.

Jocy was trying to "muddy up" Logans bad guy. She wanted to be like her big brother.

Where to Begin???

Um...It has been way too long and I have so many pictures to post that this blog is going to overloaded with info. Sorry!

EASTER

The kids and I went over to Lissa's House to decorate cookies the day before Easter. Jocy didn't decorate, but she had a lot of fun licking all of the frosting off of the cookie!

NEW CHAIRS
OK...They are not technically new, but they are new to me! I was sick of looking at my nasty dirty chairs, so Lissa talked me into buying some fabric from Joanne's at 50% off and recovering them. I love it! I bought some plastic to go over them as well so there will be no more stained chairs and a lot of easy clean up!

Before....I probably shouldnt have posted a picture of the before chair because it is so gross. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little embarrased! so...I will have no judging! :)

After....I love it!

Rai turned 4 the end of March. I think she had a pretty good birthday!

( Don't mind the messy face!)

The Donut Cake...It did NOT turn out as planned. It was supposed to be a barbie cake, but turned out looking like a giant donut. At least Rai liked it right?

Lissa called me the week before Easter will a brilliant idea to make the girls Easter dresses. She thought of up the pattern, I came over and we got to work. We worked all day putting the dresses together. We tried the dress on Rai and realized we forgot to cut a little bigger for a seam allowance. Oops! They ended up with Easter skirts instead, but they were still really cute!

My girls and their Lila.

This picture is random, but I thought it was funny. Logan and Amber were playing Mario on the Wii. Can you tell they are related??!

We went to Freestone Park a few weeks ago for Jades birthday. The kids had a lot of fun playing at the park and I had a lot of fun eating bees. Seriously.
I had put my soda down on the table for a minute. When I picked it up again, I shook it around to make sure that no bees had wandered into the can. Well, apparently that is not the thing to do. I drank it for a few minutes satisfied that their were no bees. Afterall. none came flying out of the can when I shook it. When I finished off the last bit of the soda, I ended up with something lumpy in my mouth. I freaked out , and spit it out....and this is what I found! I dont know how I didnt get stung. Anyway...lesson learned. Dont shake the can to make sure there are no bees in it.

Oh... the DRAMA!

So...It has been a while since my last post, not for the lack of things to blog about, but mainly because I havent been very motivated. Lissa and David moved out of their home in Buckeye, and they took their camera with them! I know! So now, I have no way to take fun pictures which makes blogging not fun AT ALL. But, I figured I should at least give an update of the happenings here at the Cresap house. Like I said, David and Melissa moved out mid December, so we are now living in their house until we move to Prescott in a few weeks. I was able to find my pretty purple Christmas tree, so we moved the Christmas bush into the kids room and started a new tradition out of it too. The ugly old Chrismas bush will be coming out every year because the kids loved it. Christmas was great, if you are not counting the chicken pox and the flu we had around my house the week of. The monday before Chrismas I got Jocy up from her nap and noticed a big blister on her forehead. By the next morning, we realized she had the chicken pox( and since Lissa took her camera in the move I have absolutely no pictures), so there went our Christmas with my family. We were stuck at home for the next week and a half. My parents and my younger brother Toby came over Christmas night for dinner, and that was a lot of fun. The day after Christmas, Logan got the flu. The day after that, Railynn got the flu. Good times I know. A few weeks later I found out that we gave the chicken pox to Paisley ( Lissa's baby) and my nephews friend. Oops!... We were also hoping to move back to the east valley which is obviously not going to happen. Prescott here we come! Everything went back to normal for a while, until Sunday... Jocy was coloring at the kitchen table. She had fallen off a chair onto the tile and was crying. I rushed over to pick her up and snuggled her for a minute, Then I noticed the blood on my shoulder, I just thought she bit her tongue or cut her gums or something like that. I looked in her mouth, and noticed that her upper left front tooth was missing!!! Thats right...It was gone. I looked over by where she fell, and saw her little tooth on the floor. I felt horrible. Ane there is absolutely nothing I can do. She will be toothless there until her permanent toorh comes in. Poor girl. She looks like a hillbilly, but at least she is ok. And once again I have no pictures. I am sure in the next 4-5 years I will get a camera and then you can see the toothless grin! Oh..on a side note, Logan has lost his first 2 teeth. (The natural way of course.) Hooray!

December fun...

Since Lissa and David are moving this week, we had to put up our Christmas tree. The problem is, we couldn't find our good tree...all we could find is the 4 ft "Christmas Bush" as Lissa and Zach would call it. ( seriously..Logan is as tall as the bush). We had to put up ugly old ornaments and everything. I am going to the storage unit tomorrow to try one more time to find our good tree. I am bound and determined to put up the pretty purple Christmas tree before Christmas. I dont know how it will look against the blue walls...but at least I will get to put it up!

A few weeks ago Logan got an award in school. He got the award for the best writer. I was very proud of him. There were only about 5 kids in each class that were recognized. Plus...drumroll please... he knows all 55 sight words! hooray! He can graduate kindergarten! I am very proud of how well he is doing at reading. ( Logan's teacher is the one in the pink dress)

Zach started school a few weeks ago to continue on the path for nurse anesthesia school. Zach let Logan help him with his lab. It was very fun for Logan.

The kids have been drving me just about crazy lately. So...we took a trip to the good old park! It suer is easier to handle them when they are having fun!

Jocylain loved the slide...but she didn't like to go down by herself. She would climb up and wait for Jade to come and help her down.

Jocy has been helping me in the kitchen lately. I have to keep her busy so she doesn't get into everything.

I have been meaning to post this picture for a LONG time. I love the picture and I think Grandma and PaPa will too!
